COLIN Thompson, director of Mad Dogs Theatre Company's latest production, 'In the beginning...' , will be giving a talk on 'Demystifying the Mysteries' at Leominster's Lion Ballroom tomorrow.
The production is an assemblage of miracle plays from Chester, York and Wakefield, to be performed by the company at Dore Abbey in May.
Colin will be assisted by members of the company in his entertaining introduction to early theatre.
The same weekend also promises a feast of classical music. On Saturday, April 15, well-known local musician George Ewart, will be joined by Ian Palmer and Benjamin Birtle, in a Piano Trio Recital to include works by Shostakovitch and Beethoven. The following evening, the popular Bochmann Quartet will be giving a recital entitled 'The Russian Connection' with music by Tchaikowsky, Borodin and other Russian composers of the 19th century. This concert is the second in the Leominster Concert series, based at the Lion Ballroom.
