BRECON girls came out top in a Powys talent competition.
They were taking part in a pool event as part of the prestigious county finals of Youth Events Wales, at Llandrindod Wells, and won singles and doubles heats.
Competitions ranged from football to pavement art and discodancing to mixed basketball.
Brecon also won the disco-dancing senior and netball senior competitions.
Around 2,000 have participated through competing at club, area and shire level before reaching the final.
The senior boys singles pool was won by a Llandrindod Wells team. Llandrindod also took prizes in darts.
The quiz senior competition was won by a Hay-on-Wye team and the desktop publishing junior and netball senior competitions were won by Presteigne.
Knighton and Penrhos youngsters were the best face-painters.
