THE Kington Connected Community has been singled out for special attention in a new Government report.
KC3 was praised in 'Closing the Digital Divide: Information and Communication Technologies in Deprived Areas' for the way it had furthered community access to information technology (IT).
The training centre was identified as offering valuable benefits to the community by creating a viable business and sustainable and diversified employment.
It has achieved this through offering Internet Service Provider (ISP) services to local schools and the council, providing information and communication technology-based business support and advice for small firms and self-employed people.
