VOLLEYBALL players at Weobley High School will be aiming to raise money for good causes this weekend.
Two squads of 13 pupils, captained by PE teacher Pam Harris and deputy head Mark Stephenson, will be playing volleyball for 24 hours, starting at 3.30pm tomorrow.
The pupils and staff will be raising money for the Mayor of Hereford's charities, the Marie Curie Foundation and the Samaritans, as well as for the school's sports tour of Holland in October.
Richard Rumsey, son of Hereford mayor Colin Rumsey and a past pupil of the school, will start the tournament on Friday and return to present a trophy to the winning team 24 hours later. Richard is now a captain in the Royal Signals Corps.
