A MAKESHIFT strike partnership of Graham Jones and James West had an immediate effect and sent Ross to a welcome victory in the Complete Music Hellenic League Division 1.
Jones grabbed two goals, the first a header from a superb cross by West on 29 minutes before Rich Barry equalised from a corner for the home side.
Town went back ahead when Jones beat United keeper Jason Huxtable from 10 yards, again set up by West, and after 72 minutes provider then turned scorer.
West's delicate chip from 20 yards added the third goal and substitute James Watkins completed the scoring with a powerful 12-yard finish on his return from a long injury lay-off.
