WALK - A walk of witness took place on Good Friday. It started at the Methodist Church on Colwall Green and continued to the Free Church on Walwyn Road, with stops for readings at Martin's Orchard and the library.
CHURCH - St James Church was full on Easter morning, with chairs having to be brought in from The Ale House. There were two baptisms, a visiting Boys Brigade who were staying at Colwall Village Hall over the Easter weekend, choir, orchestra and many visitors and congregation. After the lighting of the pascal candle, children took up flowers to decorate the Good Friday cross. During the communion, the choir sang the Easter anthems,' When Mary Through the Garden Went' by Stanford, and 'Blessed be the God and Father' by S S Wesley. The service was taken by Preb. Carl Attwood and Anne Lanyon-Hogg. Organist was Guy Harland.
