INTERESTED in trying something new, but wary about giving it go?

Herefordshire College of Art and Design will be offering some short introductory courses entitled 'The Art of Craft', starting after Easter.

These versatile taster sessions can be attended through evening, day or weekend workshops or a combination of these - hopefully we can find a time to suit you! They are designed to give you a sample of the many areas of this fascinating subject without having to commit to a more extended programme of study.

The crafts involved are ceramics, photography, jewellery and silversmithing, stained glass and textiles. If there are any other areas of craft that interest you then let the college know, they may be able to help. Also available is an introduction to drawing and painting, and workshops in printmaking, book arts and creative writing.

Assistance

Fee remission is available to those people in receipt of certain categories of benefit and if you are working for 30 hours a week or more but earn less than £6 per hour then you may be eligible for help with up to 50 per cent of your fees. Ask the college for details.
