CRADLEY-based rider Sarah Jackson was rewarded for her courageous battle against extensive injuries when Tee Tee Too scored a comfortable win in the Ladies Open at the Torrington Farmers fixture at Umberleigh in Devon.
Jackson, aged 32, has only recently come out of hospital after being badly injured when Link Copper fell at Block Forest Lodge on March 12.
She had been leading when her horse fell in the path of her rivals who galloped over her. This resulted in serious injuries, which included a broken jaw and cheekbones, broken shoulders and collarbones and a major problem with her liver.
She was initially airlifted to hospital in Exeter, but was subsequently transferred to Kings College Hospital in London due to complications with her liver injury. She spent a total of ten weeks in hospital - eight and half of them in intensive care.
Tee Tee Too had moderate form when racing over hurdles for Miss Jackson's father Colin but had been showing improved form in Point to Points this season and progress reports provided by family and friends helped aid her recovery.
Following Miss Jackson's horrendous fall, the eight year old was transferred to Emma James's stable but Sarah made the long journey to Devon to witness Emma's success on Tee Tee Too.
