ON Saturday Bosbury 2nds played table topping St Martins and, asked to bat first, made a poor start losing their first three wickets for only 36 runs.

BOSBURY 2ND XI v ST MARTINS

The in-form Keith Eyles (57) and Paul Ledbury (17) then restored some semblance of sense to the Bosbury innings and with the tail, especially L Ledbury (19) chipping in, Bosbury struggled to a respectable 158 for 9.

St Martins made a flying start and after six overs were going at a rate of over five an over. K Eyles had to leave the field with a back injury and Bosbury's number looked to be up. However the ten remaining players fielded like demons and with some excellent bowling from C Hill (2-13), Paul Ledbury (4-24) and B Barnes (2-43) St Martins were all out in the 30th over for 123.

BOSBURY 2ND XI v BROCKHAMPTON

ON Sunday Bosbury 2nds travelled to Brockhampton and had another successful day.

Asked to field first Bosbury were indebted to Man of the Match Paul Ledbury. With a first class display of swing bowling he captured five wickets for 21 runs from his ten overs.

The only batsmen to contribute with double figures were D Howells (16), P Edwards (10) and J Hudson (22no) and the Brockhampton side were all out in the 31st over for 94.

Bosbury made their usual poor start with both openers gone with only seven runs on the board. Then a quick fire 24 from D Cooke before Paul Ledbury came to the crease and with a mixture of well struck shots and aggressive running he and M Jones (19no) saw Bosbury home in the 25th over for a seven wickets win.
