AFTER a stylish start to their new season, with a 29-10 win at Haverford-west, Hereford Cathedral School were brought back to earth with a 58-3 home reverse against Gloucester school St Peter's.
St Peter's capitalised on every Cathedral mistake and, despite some fine rugby from both sides, they destroyed the city school with some powerful and pacy play.
Previously, Cathedral's Dan Darg gave their new- look side a good start at Haverfordwest with an early try, converted by Ashley Nahorniak.
Will Tomkins went over from 10 yards out and, separated by a home penalty, Tom Seaman touched down in the corner to make it 17-3 at half-time.
The Welsh hosts pulled a try back after the break but Jake Coates and Tom Perrin responded and both went over to seal victory.
