Lye 2 Kington Town 4
KINGTON blitzed Lye with four first-half goals, including a brace from Paul Burton, in the Premier Division of the Banks's Brewery West Midlands League.
Burton completed a slick end-to-end passing movement from 10 yards for the opener on 20 minutes and then notched another on the half-hour with a far-post volley from Chris King's cross.
Steve Radziejowski made it three after 38 minutes when he headed in a centre from Jonathan Hill and King ensured a comfortable half-time margin when he rifled an unstoppable 18-yard shot two minutes later.
Lye replied with two breakaway goals after the interval, their second strike 10 minutes from time, but Kington were always comfortable.
Kington Town 1 Westfields 1
Former Westfields striker Burton returned to haunt his old club when he grabbed a late equaliser in a midweek clash.
Ex-Hereford United youngster Matt Pitt had given the visitors a 70th-minute lead when he burst through the Kington defence and fired a low, hard shot past keeper Dave Alden.
Pitt had an opportunity to sew the game up 10 minutes later, but wasted a close-range chance with only Alden to beat.
Then, with just two minutes remaining, Burton popped up at the far post and headed in a dramatic equaliser from a John Hill cross.
