HEREFORDSHIRE'S history and heritage has received a £350,000 Valentine's present from the Countryside Agency's Local Heritage Initiative (LHI).
"What better way to celebrate our first birthday than to give a gift to a county we love," said Chris Tomlin, of the LHI's West Midlands team.
Money from the scheme has already helped a number of county projects get off the ground, including the Eardisland Oral History Group and the Much Cowarne Conservation Project.
"We're supporting some really good projects in Herefordshire, but we've thousands of pounds more to give away so we want to hear from these in the county with the right ideas," added Mr Tomlin.
"If you think you have a scheme that will get your community working together assessing a piece of heritage, don't keep it a secret - let us know."
