LADIES' LUNCHEON CLUB - The February meeting of Lyonshall Ladies' Luncheon Club took place at the Burton Hotel, Kington. The guest speaker was Marlie Mace, who spoke about Hereford Open Door, the charity that started in 1996 to give help to the homeless and needy in Herefordshire.
TALK - On Wednesday, March 7 at Lyonshall Memorial Hall, a talk entitled 'Making a Garden' will be given by Lance Hattatt, garden designer and author, of Arrow Cottage, Weobley. The morning starts at 11.30am and tickets, at £10 each, include a glass of wine and a pate lunch. All the proceeds will be donated to the New Medical Equipment Appeal for Herefordshire' new hospital. Tickets are available from Mrs J Green, Next End, Lyonshall (phone 01544 340307). Donations will also be gratefully accepted.
