LTFC 2000 were slow to start this Sterling Classic Malvern Football League fixture and the battling spirit of the away side proved a tough nut to crack.

LTFC 2000 4, Fromes Hill 0

The first half saw shots hitting the post and fine saves by the away goal keeper.

A below par performance in foggy conditions by the Ledbury side made it a dull encounter early on.

The second half was no better, Fromes Hill battled away and even created a few scorable chances.

A Robbie Colwell shot deflected and finished by Ashley Jones opened the scoring, this seemed the only way a goal was going to arise.

Ledbury then took charge of the game and a plucky Fromes Hill side succumbed to goals from Cliff Tipton and James Dean, who got two.

Fromes Hill can take heart in the fact that they worked hard and caused more problems this season to LTFC 2000 than any other team.

Squad: Chris Grubb, Leon Roberts, Lee Clueit, Pete Brown, Nick Loader, Nick Welch, Cliff Tipton, Paul James, Ashley Jones, James Dean, Robbie Colwell, Andy Smith, Duncan Preedy, Ray Shakesheff.

LTFC 2000 are away to Intermilokal next Sunday.
