Chaddesley Corbett 1 Hinton 1
DAFYDD Roberts netted his first goal of the season to cancel out an earlier strike from the home team and give Hinton a deserved point in their mid-table clash in Division 1 South of the Banks's Brewery West Midlands League.
The home team opened the scoring after 15 minutes when the Hinton defence was deceived by a well-flighted free-kick and keeper Dave Spencer was left stranded from the resultant header.
Hinton pushed forward in search of an equaliser at the start of the second half and were rewarded when full-back Roberts headed home from close range during a goalmouth scramble.
With the wind strengthening in favour of the home team, the Hinton defence came under intense pressure for the first time in the match, but Mike Ingram went close from a counter-attack.
The home team intensified their efforts during the closing minutes and Hinton were indebted to Spencer for two tremendous point-blank saves.
