POLICE have praised neighbours who gave first aid to two officers who suffered stab wounds and lacerations at Steen's Bridge near Leominster.
The pair had been sent to an address in Humber Close late last Saturday night (July 7).
Benjamin Cooper, 37, of Humber Close, has been charged with the attempted murder of both PC's.
He appeared before Herefordshire Magistrates on Tuesday to be remanded in custody pending a Crown Court hearing on July 17.
The two officers were treated at Hereford General Hospital; they've since been released and are on sick leave.
