ONLY days after helping to deliver her first grandchild, a Hereford woman is all set for another demanding challenge.
Fiona White, of Stoneleigh Drive, Belmont, is planning to make her first parachute jump on July 14.
Last Sunday the 36-year-old mother of six was assisting her daughter Emma Gilroy to give birth to 8lb Katherine.
Now, far from coming down to earth, Fiona is going ahead with a 3,000ft parachute jump despite only having been in an aeroplane once before.
But it's all for a good cause as she's hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for the Alzheimer's Society.
"I'm nervous but I'm very excited as well," said Fiona, who works part-time at Tesco's in Belmont.
"It's to raise money for the store's chosen charity for this year."
Anyone who would like to support Fiona by making a donation can do so by popping into Tesco's or telephoning 01432 340987.
