Bromyard'S Town Watch meeting has been scheduled for the Falcon Hotel, Bromyard, on September 19, from 8pm.
Businesses and the town council have supported the project, which involves civilians on a rota "logging on" with Hereford Police and patrolling the area by car giving officers extra "eyes and ears".
The town council has given a grant of £100. The Conquest Theatre has put £25 into the pot and shops and businesses around town have donated almost £400.
In addition West Mercia Police is providing a fuel allowance of 23.8p a mile, for volunteers who use their vehicles on patrol.
