Pegasus Juniors 1 Bicester Town 0
JAMES Watkins' second-half strike secured Pegasus victory in this hard-fought Cherry Red Records Hellenic League Premier Division clash.
Once again injury-hit Pegasus fielded a side without a recognised striker but Watkins came to their rescue, driving the ball home from close range after the visiting goalkeeper pushed out Andy Clarke's cross.
Although the blustery conditions caused problems for both sides, Pegasus created the better opportunities. Clarke had a shot well saved on the half-hour and Danny Sobocinski saw a 45th minute header cleared off the goalline.
After Watkins pounced just seconds into the second period, he and Chris Aspey both came close to grabbing an important second goal. However, it needed a magnificent last minute reaction save from Andrew Watkins to keep out the lowly visitors.
