GRAHAM Turner believes his Hereford United side can beat York City in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie -- but acknowledges it will be tough.

Turner saw the Third Division strugglers win 2-0 at Halifax last week to give him food for thought for the Edgar Street clash.

"I was very impressed," said United's Director of Football. "They have lost only one of their last eight matches, and they look well-organised and have a lot of experience in their side.

"We know we have our work cut out, but the pressure is off us this week. We are at home and that always gives the underdogs a chance."

Strikers Paul Fewings and Steve Piearce are unlikely to be fit for the match, however, with hamstring and back injuries respectively.
