Hereford United are looking to give some belated cheer to their supporters when they entertain Morecambe in their final Nationwide Conference home game of the season tomorrow (3pm).

Director of Football Graham Turner acknowledges that their miserable record at Edgar Street -- just seven wins and ten draws -- has prevented them making a stronger challenge at the top.

He said: "We have had a disappointing season at home, and it will be nice to finish with a win.

"We haven't necessarily played badly but we haven't taken advantage of our periods of domination. We have had chances and not put them away."

But with three games left, United still have a chance of securing a top eight finish, which would ensure them of a place in next season's LDV Vans Trophy.

They should fancy their chances against a Morecambe side they have drawn against three times this season, including two meetings in the FA Umbro Trophy before the Bulls won a penalty shoot-out.

Former United midfielder Jimmy Harvey's side are not out of the relegation woods yet and are in the middle of a hectic finish to their season.

Turner added: "They are a decent side and it's surprised me to see where they are in the table."

Leading scorer Rob Elmes should return after missing last week's 1-1 draw with Scarborough through illness, while winger Paul Parry is also expected to have shaken off a leg injury. Defender Matt Clarke completes a suspension and will be available

available for the trip to title-chasing Yeovil Town on Tuesday.

Midfielder Craig Hanson has had his contract terminated for what Turner described as "disciplinary reasons". He declined to comment further.

The former Derby County player only managed 19 appearances for the Bulls in two years at the club, seven of them this season.
