Cultural Services is organising a half-day gathering tomorrow (Friday) for people in Herefordshire and beyond who like to make arts events happen in their localities. The Forum aims to support would-be local promoters, by offering up-to-date information on event management.
An annual event, now in its fifth year, the forum provides an opportunity for local organisers to develop their skills and contacts and to meet other promoters from around the country. Volunteers or professionals, beginner or experiences, all are welcome. The theme for this year's event is 'marketing'.
Accomplished freelance radio broadcaster, journalist and media trainer, Faith Tait, will talk about 'reaching your public through the media', while media consultant, Kate Bull will look at the local media scene and Arts and Business west midlands will provide information on business sponsorship.
There is an additional option to book a surgery with a representative from Arts and Business in the afternoon to discuss how your arts group can make more of its links with local business.
The event takes place at The Courtyard from 10am to 1pm on Friday November 2 and booking is essential. For further information contact 01432 260182.
