GORSLEY CHAPEL -- The family bonfire, fireworks and BBQ evening will take place on Friday, November 2 from 6-7.30pm in the field adjacent to the chapel. Admission is free, but there will be a charge for the refreshments of hot soup, burgers and hot dogs.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD -- Supporters who have filled shoeboxes to be sent to children in Eastern Europe who are suffering due to war, disaster, poverty, illness or neglect, are reminded that the boxes should be returned to the chapel by Sunday, November 11. You are also reminded that old mobile phones may be brought to the chapel, so that they can be used to raise money for the Samaritans' Purse charity.

COFFEE MORNING -- Roy and Helen Millington are hosting a coffee morning and bring and buy sale at their home, 1 Coopers Way, Newent from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Funds raised will go towards the latest building project at Gorsley Chapel, part of the Vision 2000 campaign.

GIFT FAYRE -- This will be held in Gorsley village hall on Saturday, November 3 from 11am to 2.30pm. There will be a varied selection of goods on sale, so why not come along and start your Christmas shopping early. As well as the usual cake stall; cards and small gifts will be on sale and artists and craftsmen and women will be displaying their wares, including jewellery, silk scarves, pictures and picture framing, pottery, wooden puzzles, decoupage and soft furnishings.
