SARAH Nightingale was a member of the West Association team that won the English Hockey Girls' Under-15 Regional Tournament.
The Wigmore High School pupil, still only 13 years old, represented the West in each of their four successful matches at the three-day festival in Milton Keynes.
Sarah, of Yarpole, was the only Herefordshire girl in the squad and she operated in either attack or midfield in victories over the Midlands, 3-2, South, 3-0, East, 1-0, and North, 2-1.
Sarah began her love for hockey with Leominster Girls Club at the age of 10 and progressed under the coaching of Allan Ellis.
Sarah, who now plays for Tenbury, gained county selection for under-14, 15 and 21 teams at county tournaments at Bristol, where she attracted the attention of the West selectors.
She then attended coaching academies at Bisham and Edgbaston.
