SWIFTS entertained Kington in this Under 14's league game, played in warm sunshine.
LEDBURY SWIFTS U14's 6, KINGTON 3
Kington started the better, but when Mark Carless broke down the left, the goalie could only palm his cross round the post and then Dan Herbert headed home Tom Locke's corner to give Swifts the lead.
Swifts continued to press well and after 15 minutes Anthony Bradford's run into the box was halted by a foul tackle. Tim Rutherford calmly slotted the penalty home to give Swifts a 2-0 lead. Just on half time another fine turn and cross by Mark Carless gave Jack Hodges the opportunity to slot the ball home.
Kington again started well in the second half and scored after just two minutes. Their joy was short lived, as another fine corner by Tom Locke was firmly headed goalwards by Jack Hodges, leaving Joe Maggs to turn the ball over the line.
Another excellent move saw Anthony Bradford jink into the box and calmly slot the ball home to make it 5-1. Kington were not finished, scoring when a shot against the bar rebounded at the feet of one of their players and again shortly afterwards to make it 5-3.
Swifts had the last word when Anthony Bradford capped an excellent display with a cross for Jack Hodges to pick his spot to make it six.
This was Swifts fourth game unbeaten and they now wait until November 11 for more league action.
