AS part of the new Sports Academy concept at Hartpury College, a Netball Academy is under development.
Sports Science lecturer, Claire Mills has recently been appointed to lead this new venture. Claire, aged 29, has a BA (Hons) in Sport and Human Movements and Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Science.
Claire is a former lecturer at Worcester Sixth College where she had the responsibility for establishing a netball academy. In her new position at Hartpury, she will also be lecturing on the HND and degree programmes in Sports Conditioning and Coaching.
Claire has played international netball and has represented the International British Universities and Welsh Universities where she played in the Goal Shooter position.
Students who enrol at the Netball Academy will be able to study a range of full-time qualifications in either: Sports Science, Sports Conditioning and Coaching, Outdoor Recreation and Leisure and Recreation and Leisure Management.
