A 38-YEAR-OLD man, who had fallen and broken his leg on the northern slopes of Twmpa near Hay-on-Wye, was rescued by Longtown Mountain Rescue on Tuesday.
It was the fourth call-out in two weeks for the rescue team who treated the casualty on the hill before starting a one-hour stretcher carry to a waiting ambulance.
The injured man, who has not been named, alerted the emergency services by using a mobile phone.
