HEREFORD'S Waterworks Museum has welcomed its first ever 100-year-old visitor.
Bert Wood, who lives in the city, came to the museum just a few days after celebrating his century and wrote in the visitors' book 'My 100th birthday treat'.
Mr Wood thoroughly enjoyed himself during a tour of the museum, taking great interest and asking pertinent questions about local water supplies and machinery.
He noted that he was older than many of the exhibits on display!
Mr Wood was accompanied on his visit by his daughter Mary Evans and friends Pete and Margaret Hollenberg.
The museum, meanwhile, is currently looking for more volunteers due to an increase in visitor numbers.
Anyone who is interested should drop in at the museum on any Tuesday between 10am and 4pm, or contact 01600 890118.
