Youngsters at Ledbury Primary School have no reason to forget Remembrance Sunday, thanks to the powerful reminder of a colourful poppy frieze they have put together.

The paint and collage display was made by Year 6 youngsters under the guidance of the school's new deputy headteacher, Elizabeth Farr.

Headteacher Celia Naylor said "The frieze is visually attractive and very appropriate for this time of year, and encourages the children to give generously to the Poppy Appeal."

Meanwhile, Ledbury artist Tony Coppin has paid tribute to the Royal British Legion with a stunning painting of the Market House, set off with a display of Remembrance Sunday poppies.

He presented the picture this week to Ian Mayhew, steward at the Ledbury Royal British Legion Club.

Mr Coppin said it was done out of respect to mark the 80th anniversary of the Legion.
