A new bus shelter for the centre of Ledbury is being considered by Herefordshire Council and the town council.
David Walsh, Herefordshire Council's senior technician for transportation, said the structure, to be situated by the War Memorial, would need to be lightweight, predominantly of glass and sympathetic to the environment.
Mr Walsh is in consultation with town councillors over details such as the styling and colour of the proposed shelter.
He said: "Silver could be considered a suitable choice in keeping with the existing railings."
