A Churchill Meadow resident is calling for Ledbury Town Council to "implement some sort of local bylaw" to prevent fireworks being released in the roads of the estate, from September to December.
John Gaskin wrote to the council saying a large percentage of residents are senior citizens who own a dog or cat.
"They're being terrified by these mindless individuals, not to mention the possibility of damage by fire to property," he said.
The issue was discussed by town councillors at last week's planning and economic development committee. They pointed out letting off fireworks in the street is illegal and subject, in any case, to police action.
Action on Mr Gaskin's letter will be decided upon at the next full council meeting in the Market House on Thursday, November 22, at 7.30pm.
