Ledbury put on a brave performance in their first game of the season against a strong and well organised Telford team containing four players who have been selected for the Shropshire County side.
LEDBURY UNDER 15'S 7pts, TELFORD UNDER 15'S 38pts
Ledbury were under pressure straight from the kick off and were two tries down before they got themselves organised and put Telford on the back foot.
The forwards kept the ball well and were unlucky not to score before Telford broke out and ended the half with a well worked try.
Good tackling by Luke Hathaway, Gareth Hall, Anthony Bradbury and Richard Richardson continued to restrict their strong running opponents as Ledbury gained in confidence.
A strong run by number eight Chris Stock was taken on by scrum half Sam McIlroy who was held up inches short of the line.
Telford infringed in the ensuing maul, Richard Richardson took the penalty quickly and squeezed over the line. Sam McIlroy converted.
