Bromyard and Winslow's Police Community Consulta-tive Committee has backed the efforts of the West Mercia force despite a rise in violent crime figures.
At last week's PCCC meeting, held at Stoke Lacy, chairman Coun Richard James said: "We felt satisfied the police had done all they could with the manpower they have."
Mr James added, however, that response times of police cars is getting worse but West Mercia Police had agreed to look at why it is happening.
Statistics released by the West Mercia force for Bromyard, Leominster and Kington in the six months to September 30 revealed a reduction in non-violent crimes but an increase in violent crimes compared to the same period last year.
