YANEL ADJOVI, a 21-year-old West African woman has been enjoying an eight-week work placement in Bromyard with Micron Sprayers, staying with a different local family every week.

Although Yanel actually lives in Paris, her father is a distributor of Micron equipment in Benin and she has been carrying out a project to look at the market potential of a new sprayer.

She said: "The people are very friendly. I was really welcomed in each family who did so much to make me feel at ease. It's quite interesting to meet new people and learn how they spend their life, how they live. Each family has been really different and I try to improve my English by speaking with them.

"I have really enjoyed my stay here in Bromyard. It's a nice place. There are not many people but there is a lot of things to do around Hereford and Worcester."

Yanel has now applied for a place at Brighton University to study for a BA in Business Administration, a course she hopes to begin in January.
