TALENTED gymnast Georgia Bouston has become the first Harlequins Gymnastics Club member to progress to a national final.
The Holmer Primary School pupil booked her place at the national finals in May after securing a silver medal at the West Midlands Regional Compulsory Grades.
Eight-year-old Georgia gained top position on her conditioning exercise and third place on the bars in the compulsory grade 4 section.
Harlequins head coach Margaret Daniels said: "Georgia is the first person to make it to the nationals since the club moved from Leominster and became Harlequins. It is a tremendous achievement for her and a reward for all the hard work put in by many people at the club."
Georgia is also one of three young members from the Hereford-based club who have gained selection for the West Midlands Young Development Squad.
Emily Goring, a former West Midlands Grade 6 champion, and Siaska Jones are also spending a year in the development squad that trains regularly in Birmingham and Lilleshall.
