HALF-A-CENTURY ago it was the most famous vehicle in the world - the fabulous Coronation coach.
Herefordshire people were able to enjoy seeing a beautiful scale model of the Queen's marvellous carriage when it was given centre stage at a Golden Jubilee exhibition mounted by Linton and District History Society.
The colourful display of memorabilia included newspapers and magazines reporting significant events of the time and Coronation souvenirs. There, too, were everyday items of the 1950s, bringing memories flooding back.
Enabling an even deeper wallow in nostalgia was a photographic exhibition recording people, places and village life in general.
Said history society chairman Peter Hill: "People reminisce about watching the Coronation on TV, but at that time there was no electricity in Linton unless you had your own generator and water was still drawn from the well.
The exhibition was presented as part of Linton and Bromsash's jubilee celebrations.
