Hereford Combat Academy picked up a gold and silver medal at the High Wycombe Kyu grade judo championships.
Competing in only his second judo event, Dave Cooter defeated four of his five opponents by the maximum possible points on his way to a hard-earned gold medal in the white-green belt over 90kg section.
Mike Williams also tasted success, collecting a silver medal in the white-green belt under 90kg category.
Williams trailed 7-0 in his first fight but made a terrific comeback to throw his opponent for 10 points in the closing stages of the contest.
Two further wins placed Williams in the final where, after leading for most of the fight, the Hereford Combat Acad-emy member was thrown for 10 points in the final seconds.
