BRITISH four-stroke championship leader Glen Philips won both the opening and final races in the first round of Rhayader's Evening Motocross Series.
Watched by a record crowd of nearly 5,000, Philips stormed to victory on his 520 KTM in the first race, beating Mark Hucklebridge (VOR) and Gary Davies (AMCA) into second and third places.
The last race saw top Welsh rider Philips again beating Hucklebridge in the 'Dash for Cash', while Craig Pratley (KTM) was third.
The next round at the Mid Wales venue is this Wednesday, starting 7pm.
