AN unbeaten 93 from A Bridges steered Wyesiders to a six-wicket win over visiting Bosbury in Division 1 of the Hereford Times Hereford and District League.

Replying to Bosbury's 176-9, Bridges was supported by T Applebee (36) and P Richards (27) in inflicting the visitors' first defeat of the season.

Previously, G Abbey made 38, L Ledbury, 33, and S Davies, 28 not out, in Bosbury's respectable total, while P Richards was Wyesiders' most incisive bowler, taking 3-26, and T Homden claimed 2-30.

Ewyas Harold hammered visiting Prest-eigne by 127 runs, while home club Whitecross also tasted success, pipping Bishop's Frome by five runs in a low-scoring encounter.

Lads Club's Bertie Mann claimed a hat-trick and finished with remarkable figures of 5-1 from two overs in his side's 10-wicket win at Newent 4th, who were shot out for 33 in Division 2.

Tim Price (20 not out) and Steve Cardone (13 not out) then swept Lads Club to the target.

Mike Graves took 4-50 and then struck 116 in in Hereford City 4th's nine-wicket success over home club Woolhope 2nd in a high-scoring encounter.

Woolhope's T Hilling (71) and D Napper (58) shared a 127-run stand for the first wicket, paving the way for the home team's 234.

However, composed batting from Graves, David Price Snr (45 not out) and Simon Miller (37 not out) saw Hereford home with two overs to spare.

Hereford Bluecoat also achieved victory, with N Dallow collecting 80 not out in a 51-run home win over Kington 4th.

Hay 2nd beat Eastnor 3rd by 34 runs, Weobley recorded an emphatic 121-run victory over Brockhampton 3rd, while Talgarth 3rd were unable to raise a side for the trip to play Shire Bulls.
