ST Francis Xavier captured the annual Hereford City Primary Schools' girls' football title in a competition at St Martin's School.
They beat Holmer School 1-0 in the final of the tournament which attracted 12 teams and was organised by the Herefordshire Football Association in conjunction with Hereford United's Football in the Community Scheme.
Emily Lovelock scored the only goal of the final from a long-range free-kick, while there were impressive displays throughout the tournament by goalkeeper Tara Page and defender Julie-Anne Clark. St Francis booked a place in the final with a 1-0 victory over the host team.
Twins Lisa and Lara Wooles played leading roles in the Holmer side who actually beat St Francis Xavier 1-0 in the group stages, and reached the final after a 1-0 triumph over Trinity.
HFA development officer Alex Sykes thought the tournament was a huge success.
"We were delighted to attract nearly 100 girls because it underlines the popularity of the girls' football within Herefordshire," he said.
