The Arts Interchange is gathering in Hereford this month, designed for all visual artists and craftspeople in Herefordshire and beyond.
If you are a painter, designer or crafts-maker, either amateur or professional, this is for you.
An artists' seminar open to all, the event presents some of the latest ideas in visual arts as well as offering continuing professional development for artists and makers in this area.
There will be three professional speakers who have expertise in the chosen themes of the seminar; project, display and resource.
Nicola Morris, fine art practitioner and installation artist, will be sharing her experiences of the artist-led initiative.
Marguerite Nugent is senior curator at Wolverhampton Art Gallery and will be addressing ways the gallery interacts with exhibiting artists.
Margaret McLeary from Axis, the national artist's database at Leeds University, will speak about the role of Axis and how artists can benefit from it.
The seminar will be chaired by Ledbury painter and art enthusiast, Peter Arscott.
This is a great way for artists to meet to discuss careers and the local art scene. A buffet lunch and refreshments are provided.
The seminar runs from 10am till 3pm on Saturday, June 15. Advance booking is essential. Please send for a leaflet and booking form by calling Herefordshire Council on 01432 260182.
