Youngsters from the Ledbury and Bromyard areas have been invited to Hereford for a day of pilgrimage and story telling on Wednesday, June 12.
A total of 600 children from 29 schools across the Diocese of Hereford will be asked to visit one of 12 city churches, of various denominations, before spending the afternoon in the cathedral.
There they will enjoy "an afternoon of music and drama" and a specially commissioned story called Molly and the Perfect Fruit.
Primary schools taking part will include Much Marcle, Cradley, Burley Gate and Pencombe.
Jonathan Rendall, the schools' adviser for the diocese, said: "The day is to celebrate the end of primary school life for the pupils before they move on to their secondary schools.
"It's a very exciting opportunity to bring stories alive for young people, while fulfilling parts of the RE and Literacy syllabus of the National Curriculum."
