A major fundraising drive has been launched to restore the peal of six bells at All Saints' Church in Coddington.
Coddington Parochial Church committee spokesman Denis Savage explained: "The bells at our parish church have rarely been heard over the past 30 years because of extensive rain damage to the 1866 Victorian oak bell frame.
"We intend to restore this in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee year. Our very small parish has already donated £10,000 towards the total of £39,000 required."
A number of fundraising events have now been organised, including a village open day on June 22 and 23.
Several gardens will be open to the public. There will also be an exhibition and craft sale in the church, in which all the items will have been made by villagers.
