LEDBURY artist Wendy Gibson is to be honoured with an exhibition of her floral watercolours at the Mayor's Parlour in Hereford, between June 10 and June 15.
Some of her stunning designs can now be bought on greeting cards.
But Mrs Gibson's growing success is all the remarkable, as she only took up painting on her retirement.
Mrs Gibson, of New Street, said: "Initially, it was to help in design work for my embroidery projects.
"As time went by, it became obvious to me that the painting was equally, if not more important to me than the embroidery. Having a great love of flowers and gardening, it was an easy step to concentrate on flower paintings."
Mrs Gibson now hopes to turn her hand to landscape painting.
