wet weather on Monday meant Colwall's Jubilee celebrations, which took place on the Downs School playing field, attracted fewer people than expected.
Organiser Granville Orange said the village's Rotary Club had hoped for a crowd of around 3,000 but the rain meant only around half that figure turned up.
"It's heartbreaking really when people have worked so hard to get the whole thing ready," he said.
Mr Orange thanked locals for "coming out and supporting us and the two good causes", with half the profits raised on the stalls being divided between Colwall's Millennium Room project and the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
However, those who braved the rain enjoyed a variety of activities which included go-kart rides a mini steam engine round the grounds, a pig roast and displays by SARA and the fire brigade.
