THE search is on to find a photograph of a Colwall pilot lost during the Second World War.
Flying Officer Michael John Hedley Cooke, a pilot in the RAF, died on March 15, 1945, at the age of 23.
The Remembrance Society, based in Buckinghamshire, is searching for a photograph of the airman, so it can be included in a memorial book to those who died in the war.
David King, from the society, wrote to Colwall Parish Council appealing for help.
Flying Officer Hedley was the son of John Hedley and Dora Cooke and the husband of Phyllis Eva Cooke of Colwall. Mr King expressed a hope that someone in the village might be able to help. Contact parish clerk Cynthia Spaull on 01684 568759.
