A COLWALL man has completed the challenge of cycling all the way from Land's End to John O'Groats.
Wil Leaper, the owner of Caves Folly Nurseries, covered the 930-mile route in seven days, finishing on Wednesday (May 29).
"A chap up there told me he thought it was the fastest ride so far this season," said Mr leaper, who trained for nine months.
The 48-year-old used the ride to raise money for two charities - Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
He said: "We're only now starting to get the money in but, hopefully, I've raised £2,000, maybe more."
Mr Leaper encountered varying weather conditions during his ride, including a rainstorm north of Pitlochry which forced him to briefly take refuge in a public toilet.
"Doing a ride like this really brings home how beautiful and how varied the countryside is and how good the folks are," he said. "I'm really glad I did it, I appreciate the effort it takes. I've got so much respect for all the other people who have done it."
