THE Royal Welsh Show will return this year with a bang with practically all its regular and well-loved features, particularly livestock at its core, the honorary show director, Harry Fetherstonhaugh, told the society's annual meeting at Newport.
"I am absolutely delighted with the livestock entries," he said. "Under the circumstances they are remarkable and I applaud the resilience and wonderful support of our livetsock exhibitors who provide the show with its prime attraction."
Trade support has also been "incredible", he added and over 1,000 stands would be on the showground at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, for the four-day event which opens on July 22.
The star attraction for entertainment will be the King's Troop, appearing at the Royal Welsh Show for the first time since 1953, and there would be 12 other displays including the Kangaroo Kid and the Red Devils, the Parachute Regiment's Free Fall Display Team.
