WOMEN'S INSTITUTE -- Members of Old Radnor Women's Institute, with husbands and friends, met for an evening of Royal Golden Jubilee celebration, and enjoyed a lovely buffet supper provided by the Bufton family. Entertainment was arranged by Frank and Pauline Davies, of Presteigne, with a group of their old time dancers, who encouraged members to take part. Punch, made by some of the members, was the beverage chosen to toast the Queen on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee, and it was proposed by Michael Jones. At the Institute's July meeting, starting at 7pm, at Old Radnor Church, Allan Lloyd will speak on the subject of local history.
