YOUNGSTERS at Bosbury Primary School enjoyed a very theatrical week, with professional actors inspiring them to a love of reading.

Book Week at the village school, which has 121 pupils, was celebrated with a visit on Tuesday by the Cornelius and Jones Theatre Company. The company used puppets and pop-up books to give a rendition of Shakespeare's The Tempest.

On Wednesday, the school played host to two professional actors from Hereford.

Kevin Tillett, who is well-known for his work as a pantomime dame, and Bob Turner, who has performed in various productions at The Courtyard, read stories and encouraged pupils them to act out the parts of favourite characters.

Head teacher Judy Cecil said: "It was all very successful.
